Stolen Princess by Nikki Jefford

An elf was taken away from her home to become a princess, just when she thought she had the opportunity to return home permanently. She gets kidnapped all over again.

Princess Aerith is a very strong female lead who doesn't wait around for others to save her or her family. She finds a romantic partnership along the way with an elf that she never intended to fall for.

Friendships are formed, Alliances made, and sisterly bonds tested. An intriguing plot with plenty of depth to the characters and their interactions in most moments.

The world structure was an interesting one and I wish there had been more space to explore it. Hopefully, the other books expand on the world beyond the land of Faerie and Pinemist.

The narrator Em Eldridge had a good voice for Aerith and did a decent job with the other character voice distinctions.

I wasn't a huge fan of how the intimate moments and emotions were portrayed. They felt a bit stiff and like all the character development disappeared. Like a lemon fanfiction written a long time ago that she went back and wrote an amazing plot on top of.

Definitely not for younger readers or those who are squeamish about "bedroom scenes"
